Starting AIPS

With the Desktop Icon

Click on the AIPS icon that was placed on your desktop during the installation of AIPS or click on your task bar "Start" button, select "Programs" and click on AIPS. The program mainform will open and appear similar to the following:

Click on one of the buttons to perform the operation of your choice. Choices include:

An Image Merger (with optional borders, rulers, and text)
An Image Compressor/Converter (Batch Mode)
File Renaming Routines (Batch Mode)
An Image Viewer (Includes a Slide Show)
An Image Printer
Printer Margin Calibration Routines

If assistance is needed the "Help" selection on the menu bar will provide a wealth of information. Help is also available on all AIPS forms.
